1. Overview

• Introduction to LTI Integrations: Speakable supports Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) version 1.3, enabling seamless integration with various Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas, Blackboard, Schoology, Moodle, and others. This allows organizations to embed Speakable activities directly within their LMS, streamlining the user experience.

2. Availability

• Organization Plans Only: LTI integrations are exclusively available for organizations subscribed to a Speakable Organization Plan.
• Contact Requirement: Each LTI integration setup is unique and requires direct communication with Speakable’s support team.

3. Getting Started with LTI Integration

• Activate Your Organization Plan: Ensure that your organization has an active Speakable Organization Plan.
• IT Admin Contact:
  1. Initiate the Integration Process: The IT administrator should reach out to Speakable by emailing info@speakableapp.com to begin the integration process.
  2. Provide Necessary Information: The IT admin will need to provide details about the LMS platform and any specific requirements for the integration.
  3. Custom Integration Setup: Speakable will work directly with your IT team to configure the LTI integration according to your organization’s needs.

4. Supported LMS Platforms

• Supported Platforms: Speakable supports any LMS that adheres to the LTI 1.3 standard, including but not limited to:
  • Canvas
  • Blackboard
  • Schoology
  • Moodle
  • Brightspace
  • Others: Any other platform supporting LTI 1.3 can be integrated with Speakable.

5. Integration Benefits

• Seamless Access: Once integrated, teachers and students can access Speakable directly through their LMS, without needing separate logins.
• Single Sign-On (SSO): LTI integration supports SSO, enabling users to sign in to Speakable via their existing LMS credentials.
• Embedded Activities: Speakable activities can be embedded directly within LMS course pages, making it easy to assign and manage language learning tasks.
